Cyber Armageddon: In depth Analysis of What Syrian Electronic Army ‘can’ do if US attacks Syria

This world is a place of turmoil and threats. Every country, organization, persons or military from around the world claim, from time to time, that it or they has/have more power than others. Recently, a new such group has surfaced in print and electronic media. They are the SEA (Syrian Electronic Army). This group has thus far hacked Twitter and the websites of Al Jazeera, New York Times, CNN, Washington Post and several other giants of the media.

After the rise of civil war in Syria, the situation became more aggravated when international powers started supporting the Free Syria Army with intel, finance and arms. On one hand people are dying regularly in great numbers; on the other, the SEA has started hacking media and social media like twitter, New York Times, Washington Post, Al-Jazeera etc, striking panic in the media around the globe.

Syrian Electronic Army warns twitter against their official account suspension; you will see the massive Twitter accounts hacks SEA tweeted

Today, after the two major hacks of Syrian Electronic Army in which they hacked Reuters’ twitter account & White House Employees Email Account ,Twitter suspended the Syrian Electronic Army twitter’s official account (Official_SEA12) and now SEA has moved to a new account (@SEA_Official14).
Syrian Electronic Army warned Twitter against this suspend with the following tweet, which was sent to Official Twitter account & CEO of Twitter Dick Costolo.

Website of Phone and texting app ‘Viber’ Hacked & Defaced by Syrian Electronic Army

The hardcore pro- Bashar Ul Asad hackers from Syrian Electronic Army have hacked and defaced the official support sub-domain of famous phone and texting App Viber.
The hack was announced by the hackers on their official website according to which they have downloaded some of the app databases after gaining access to soms systems of that app, hackers have also mentioned that reason for defacing this site was against the company’s alleged spying on its users.

Syrian Electronic Army Hacks The Daily Dot Website, Removes Article

On Monday, the Syrian Electronic Army sent out a tweet to The Daily Dot, urging the publication to remove a caricature of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad from an article regarding the hacker group’s attack on Tango.
The Daily Dot refused, so the hackers broke into at least one Gmail account of Daily Dot staff. In addition, the hackers broke into the site’s admin panel and removed the Tango.me article.
The attackers have published several pictures, including ones of emails sent out to Daily Dot staff about the Syrian Electronic Army’s “threat.”

Mobile Messaging Service Tango Hacked by Syrian Electronic Army

The Syrian Electronic Army has breached into the official website of Tango (Tango.me) a popular mobile messaging service based in Mountain View, California.
Hack was announced by the hackers on their official website, according to which the hackers have allegedly downloading 1.5 TB of daily backups including usernames, emails, addresses along with other contact details of site’s users and subscribers.

Syrian Electronic Army Claims to Have Hacked Israeli Critical Infrastructure Systems (Updated)

Update. The Syrian Electronic Army says it has nothing to do with the emails. Read the initial story below.
The Syrian Electronic Army is best known for hijacking the social media accounts and websites of news organizations they accuse of spreading false news about the situation in Syria. However, now they claim to have done much more than just hack Twitter accounts.
In an email sent to Softpedia, the hackers claim to have penetrated one of Israel’s main critical infrastructure systems.

“We would like to announce that in response to the unfair and illegal attacks, taken place by Israel on DATE, SEA has penetrated one of the main infrastructural systems (SCADA) in Haifa and managed to gain access to some sensitive data. Also SEA is now able to cause irrecoverable damages to the Israeli's infrastructural systems,” the hackers said.

Syrian Electronic Army hackers Hijack 11 Twitter accounts of Guardian Newspaper

 Hackers from Syrian Electronic Army known for their hardcore support to Syrian President Bashar Ul Assad have hacked 11 official Twitter accounts of British owned Guardian Newspaper.
On their official website, the hackers uploaded the details of hack which shows that 11 Twitter accounts of Guardian Newspaper were hacked by the hackers for alleged lies of the paper about Syria.
“This came after this newspaper preying sometimes lies and slander about Syria”says the official SEA website.
Nine tweets were broadcast in an hour, including some with anti-Israeli sentiments, and others saying “Long Live Syria” and “Syrian Electronic Army Was Here”.
A tweet from Guardian Business read: “Follow the Syrian Electronic Army…Follow the truth! @Official_SEA12 #SEA #Syria.”

AFP Photo Twitter account hacked by Syrian Electronic Army

The online hackavists supporting the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad have claimed responsibility for hacking the official Twitter account of French news agency Agence France-Presse, commonly known as AFP.
 The account which goes with the handle of @AFPphoto was hacked few hours ago, posting Tweets against the rebels and in support of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

SEA hacks the mail of Israeli Newspaper Ha'aretz

In the response of the attack that was carried out by Israel’s planes on the center for the Scientific Researches in Jemraya of Damascus countryside, Syrian Electronic Army hacks the private mail of the Israeli Newspaper Ha'aretz site.
Syrian Electronic Army has mentioned during its campaign on the sites of Israel, it hacked more than 85 mail with the passwords that are linked to the  Israeli Newspaper Ha'aretz.
The Syrian Electronic Army has vowed that what is coming, would be greater and it will hack the Israeli government’s sites

The Syrian Electronic Army on January 8 made an huge attack on Saudi Arabia Defense websites, and succeed in hacking all the websites that belong to the Ministry of Defense in the country.
